![]() ![]() It’s late at night and you can’t fall asleep again – but you don’t want to anyway. But will I have the strength to leave it all behind me? One Day I’ll have the power to say ‘No’ – Farewell, sweet vertigo! Cold sweat is oozing from my aching pores - Do I really want more? One day there will be calmness, one day when I am free. Ĭoming back to life now I look around and see: The room is full of people, people just like me. And as my hunger grows unbearably strong I touch the soil with the tip of my tongue. I leave a slimy track behind me as I head for some luminous plants. Lying nakedly, face to face with the moist soil, and like a snail I start to crawl. Now there’s darkness all around me and I’m left here all alone. I sink into a bed that’s made of clay and watch you melt away So I reach out to hold you, but suddenly I find I cannot move a single joint, I guess I’m paralyzed. Like coral reefs at night your eyes do shine – I want to make you mine. I turn around and start to run, that’s when I see your face. I realize I find myself inside a giant maze. I reach out and clutch some objects in the air, even though there’s nothing thereīody and soul, out of control. Its moving to the very bottom of my naked feet. I feel it in my fingertips, an icy kind of heat. I lay down on the ground and let it reign – here it comes again. I can feel it coming, rushing through my veins, heading for my senses, heading for my brains. Via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. Especially The Night and the mini-epic Special are enjoyable, because of the breaks and tempo shifts and a slight Yes-touch from the Drama-period (1980). The songs have just that bit of an edge to keep them - despite their easy-to-the-ear sound - interesting for the die-hard prog fan. Fortunately, InVertigo steers clear of the overly commercial pitfall. InVertigo makes the music Sylvan or even RPWL could have made if these bands would have been a bit more commercial. Of course, these songs contain some extended instrumental passages, but these never turn into a 'look-momma-I-can-do-it-without-hands' freak show. Singer Sebastian Brennert has a nice voice which leads us smoothly through these medium-long songs. The music is a blend of neo-prog and pop-rock. Throughout all company initiatives, Invertigo is committed to paying fair wages to company members and commissioned artists.InVertigo is a German prog band that recorded a debut album with only six songs that last approximately 52 minutes.
